Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have been diagnosed with metastatic stomach cancer (adenocarcinoma type), confirmed by tissue or cell testing.
• People whose scans show the cancer has grown into nearby organs, or has spread to distant lymph nodes that meet specific size and appearance criteria on CT scan (confirm with trial site for full details).
• People aged 18 or older.
• People with a life expectancy of at least 3 months.

• People whose blood test results show the body's organs and bone marrow are functioning well enough, including adequate levels of red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and healthy liver and kidney function.
• People who have never previously received chemotherapy.
• People who have never previously received radiation therapy.
• People who are able to attend all follow-up appointments required by the study, with no major obstacles related to personal, family, social, or location factors.
• Women who are post-menopausal, or women of childbearing age who have a confirmed negative pregnancy test before joining.
• People who are able to give written, signed consent to participate, including both the patient and their legal representative where required.

Who may not be able to join:

• Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or of childbearing age who are not using adequate contraception.
• People whose stomach cancer is not the adenocarcinoma type.
• People whose cancer has spread to areas beyond the lymph nodes (such as other organs), or who have confirmed fluid build-up in the abdomen shown on CT scan.
• People with a history of another type of cancer, or a currently active second cancer (excluding certain common skin cancers or early-stage cervical conditions).
• People whose cancer has spread to the brain or central nervous system.
• People with a significant bowel blockage or active bleeding in the digestive system.
• People who have previously had an organ transplant.
• People with active infections including tuberculosis, hepatitis B (with high viral levels), active hepatitis C, or HIV, as determined by standard tests.
• People whose heart electrical activity test (ECG) shows a specific measurement (QTcF) above 470 milliseconds on average across multiple readings.
• People with certain serious ongoing health conditions, including uncontrolled heart disease, a heart attack within the past 6 months, a history of neurological or psychiatric illness (such as dementia or seizures), uncontrolled infection, severe ongoing diarrhoea, severely elevated calcium levels that cannot be controlled, active blood-clotting disorders, or other serious conditions that may affect participation.
• People currently taking corticosteroid medications (such as steroids), unless used for a specific short-term reaction or in low doses for a long-term condition started well before the study (confirm exact details with trial site).
• People who have taken another experimental drug within the past 4 weeks, or who are currently taking one.
• People currently receiving combination chemotherapy, hormone therapy, or immunotherapy.
• People considered unsuitable by the trial researchers for any other reason.
