Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are an adult (18 years old or older)
  • You fall into one of three groups: (A) an adult diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), (B) an adult diagnosed with food addiction (also called Food Addiction Disorder), or (C) a healthy adult with no history of neurological or psychiatric conditions and no serious ongoing health problems
  • You have an IQ above 70 (no significant intellectual disability)
  • You are able to understand and follow instructions during tasks, as judged by the research team
  • You have read, understood, and freely agreed to take part by signing a consent form
  • You are covered by a social security (health insurance) scheme

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have problems with movement or motor control affecting your nerves and muscles
  • You have uncorrected vision problems, or vision problems that would make an MRI scan impossible
  • You have a known diagnosis of epilepsy
  • You are currently struggling with substance use (such as alcohol or drugs) that is causing significant distress or affecting your daily life
  • You have a rare genetic condition or syndrome
  • You have any other reason you cannot have an MRI scan (confirm with trial site)
  • If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you would need to have a negative pregnancy test (urine or blood) to participate
  • You are currently under a legal protection measure, such as guardianship or curatorship
