Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have generalised convulsive status epilepticus (a prolonged, severe seizure or repeated seizures without recovery) that has not responded to standard treatments
Who may not be able to join:
- People for whom informed consent has not been obtained
- People who have recently consumed ketone supplements, followed a ketogenic (very high-fat, low-carbohydrate) diet, or made other specific dietary changes

- People who are taking medications known as carbonic anhydrase inhibitors (confirm with trial site for specific examples)
