Who might be able to join this trial:
For the mother:
- You are currently pregnant (with one or more babies) and are at least 16 weeks along.
- You have at least one biological child who is 24 months old or older.
- You are at least 18 years old.
For the father:
- You are the biological father of the unborn child.
- You are at least 18 years old.
For the unborn child:
- The mother is taking part in the study.
Additional requirements for the "High Risk" group (families who already have a child with autism):
- There is a biological child of the mother and/or father who is between 24 months and 18 years old and has a confirmed autism diagnosis.
- If there are several children in the family with autism, only the youngest one with autism would be considered for the study.
- A child conceived through assisted reproduction (such as IVF) may still qualify, as long as they share some genetic heritage with the mother or father of the unborn child (confirm with trial site).
- If the father does not live with the mother, his participation is not required, and the rest of the family can still take part.
Who may not be able to join:
- You are unable to understand French or complete the study questionnaires.
- You are under guardianship, curatorship, or any other legal protection measure, or your freedom has been restricted by a legal or administrative decision.
- You are not registered with a social security system.
- You do not wish to give consent to participate (parental consent is also required for any children involved).
- You live too far from the study centre to attend follow-up appointments.
Additional exclusion for the "Low Risk" group only:
- The mother or father already has a biological child who has been diagnosed with autism or any other neurodevelopmental condition.
