Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 or older
- People who have been diagnosed with gastric (stomach) adenocarcinoma or undifferentiated carcinoma confirmed through a tissue sample test
- People whose cancer is classified as Stage II or Stage III based on a specific staging system (the 8th edition TNM classification), meaning the cancer has grown into the stomach wall and/or spread to nearby lymph nodes
- People whose care team (a group of different medical specialists) has decided they are suitable for a combined treatment approach
Who may not be able to join:
- People with early-stage stomach cancer (cT1N0-3M0) where the specialist team has planned a non-surgical procedure through a camera scope (endoscopy)
- People whose cancer is in the remaining part of the stomach after a previous stomach surgery (known as gastric stump carcinoma)
- People whose cancer has spread to distant parts of the body (metastasis)
- People who are planned to go straight to surgery without other treatments first
- People who have or have had another type of cancer
- People for whom a body composition measurement technique called bioelectrical impedance analysis is not safe — for example, people with implanted heart devices, certain metal implants, or who are pregnant (confirm with trial site)
