Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are able to understand and sign a consent form agreeing to take part in the study
- You are 18 years old or older
- You have been diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) where constipation is the main symptom, or where your bowel habits alternate between constipation and diarrhea, based on a specific set of medical guidelines called the Rome IV criteria

- There is a medical reason why a fecal microbiota transplant (a procedure involving transfer of stool from a healthy donor) or a colonoscopy would be unsafe for you
- You have previously had surgery on your digestive tract (having had your gallbladder or appendix removed is generally acceptable — confirm with trial site)
- You have a stoma (an opening on your abdomen connected to your digestive tract)
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- You are already taking part in another clinical trial involving a treatment or intervention
