Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 18 and 75 years old
- People who have been diagnosed with, or are suspected to have, a type of stomach tumour called a GIST (gastrointestinal stromal tumour), confirmed either before or after surgery through imaging, camera examination, or laboratory analysis of tissue samples
- People who have agreed to take part and are willing to have keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery on their stomach
- People whose surgery is expected to remove the tumour completely (no cancer cells left behind)

Who may not be able to join:
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People with a serious mental health condition
- People who have previously had open or major surgery on the upper abdomen, except for keyhole gallbladder removal
- People who have previously had stomach surgery, except for certain endoscopic procedures to treat early stomach cancer
- People who have had another type of cancer within the past five years
- People who have had unstable chest pain (angina) or a heart attack within the past six months
- People who have had a stroke within the past six months
- People who have been taking steroid medications continuously for at least one month before joining
- People who need surgery for another condition at the same time
- People requiring emergency surgery due to serious complications such as bleeding, blockage, or a hole in the stomach
