Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older who have a confirmed diagnosis of HER2-positive advanced stomach cancer or cancer at the junction of the stomach and food pipe (gastroesophageal junction), and who have already received a previous treatment containing a medicine called trastuzumab
- People whose cancer diagnosis has been confirmed through laboratory testing of a tissue or cell sample
- People with documented proof of HER2-positive status from either a stored tissue sample or a recent one taken before starting a second round of treatment
- People whose doctor has decided to start them on either a single-drug treatment called T-DXd (trastuzumab deruxtecan) or a standard therapy, based on the approved prescribing guidelines
- People who have given written, signed, and dated consent to take part in the study
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are currently taking part in, or have previously taken part in, another clinical trial where the treatment details are still kept secret (blinded)
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
