Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 11 to 18 years old.
- People who have been diagnosed with psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (PNES) by a doctor, confirmed using a video-EEG test.
- People who have a family member (such as a parent or guardian for those under 18) who is willing to take part and whom the person with PNES has chosen to involve.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who also have epilepsy alongside their PNES diagnosis.
- People who have fewer than 4 PNES episodes per month.
- People whose seizure-like episodes are linked to other causes, such as reduced blood flow to the brain, sleep disorders, or migraines.
- People who are already receiving another form of therapy during the study period.
- People with a severe intellectual disability.
- People with a severe mental illness that involves delusions or hallucinations.
- People aged 13 or older whose blood pressure is higher than 130/80 mmHg (this applies specifically to one part of the trial called CPT).
- People under 13 whose blood pressure — either the top or bottom number — is at or above the 95th percentile for their age and sex (this also applies specifically to the CPT part of the trial) (confirm with trial site).
