Who might be able to join this trial:
- Children and adolescents who have been formally diagnosed with ADHD, or both ADHD and autism (ASD), based on standard diagnostic guidelines (DSM-5).
- People aged 3 to 17 years old.
- People who have been on a stable treatment plan for at least 1 month before the trial's gut microbiome therapy begins.
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose parent or legal guardian is unable to understand the study questionnaires or give formal consent on their behalf.
- People who have been diagnosed with a single-gene disorder, a major brain malformation, or certain bowel conditions such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, or eosinophilic esophagitis.
- People who have serious health conditions affecting the heart, lungs, liver, or kidneys, a severe infection, or cancer.
- People who have another life-threatening condition that requires urgent medical treatment.
- People who are unable to safely undergo a colonoscopy procedure or the anaesthesia used during it.
