Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People aged 18 to 75 years old, male or female
  • People whose stomach cancer has been confirmed by biopsy as a specific type of stomach gland cancer (such as papillary, tubular, mucinous, signet ring cell, or poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma)
  • People whose cancer was staged as Stage II or III before starting pre-surgery treatment, confirmed through scans, scopes, or exploratory surgery

  • People with an expected survival of more than 6 months

  • People who have signed a written consent form before joining, and who understand their right to withdraw at any time

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • People with a serious mental illness
  • People who have had previous surgery on the upper abdomen (having had keyhole gallbladder removal surgery is an exception)
  • People who have had previous stomach surgery (having had certain minor endoscopic procedures for stomach cancer is an exception)
  • People with moderate to severe kidney problems
  • People who have received an organ transplant and are taking medications to suppress their immune system
  • People who have had another type of cancer within the past 5 years
  • People who have had unstable chest pain or a heart attack within the past 6 months
  • People who have had a stroke or brain bleed within the past 6 months
  • People who have been on ongoing steroid medication (taken throughout the body, not just a cream or inhaler) within the past month
  • People who need surgery for another condition at the same time (having keyhole gallbladder removal at the same time is an exception)
  • People whose stomach cancer has caused an emergency such as bleeding, a perforation, or a blockage requiring urgent surgery
  • People whose lung function test results fall below 50% of the expected normal value
  • People who have taken part in another clinical trial within the past 6 months, or are currently in one
