For the Patient Survey (Part 1a) and Part 3:
- People who have been diagnosed with epilepsy by a neurologist, epileptologist, or a general/family doctor
- People who are 55 years of age or older (up to 89 years old)
- People who consider themselves able to communicate in English
For the Healthcare Provider Survey (Part 1b):
- Healthcare professionals based in the US who are involved in the care or treatment of people with epilepsy, including leaders of Epilepsy Foundation organisations
Who may not be able to join:
- People who show signs of dementia, as assessed through a telephone-based cognitive screening (note: people with suspected mild cognitive impairment would not be excluded on this basis)
- People who are 90 years of age or older
