Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People who have both depression and/or anxiety, shown by a score of 10 or higher on a questionnaire called the PHQ-ADS
- People who currently live in North Carolina or Virginia
- People who are able to attend therapy sessions by video or phone (telehealth)
- People who speak English
- People who either have a formal professional diagnosis of autism, or who score at or above the clinical cut-off on an autism screening tool called the Social Responsiveness Scale (SRS-2)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are currently experiencing a mental state that would prevent them from understanding and agreeing to take part — such as an episode of acute psychosis, being under the influence of substances, or a manic episode
- People who are assessed as being at immediate risk of suicide
