Who might be able to join this trial:

Who may not be able to join:

- You are found to have moderate to severe sleep apnea (breathing interruptions during sleep) based on a sleep test done as part of this trial
- You have already completed a full course of a specific talking therapy for insomnia called CBT-I in the last 12 months
- You are currently taking medications that affect blood sugar levels
- You have a history of type 1 or type 2 diabetes, or are currently using or planning to use blood sugar-lowering medicines (such as metformin or insulin)
- You have had weight-loss surgery in the recent past or are planning to have it within the next year
- You are currently or recently using prescription weight-loss medications
- Your sleep medication type or dose has changed recently
- You have a serious health condition that could make it difficult or risky to take part in the therapy used in this study
- You are unwilling or unable to avoid operating heavy machinery or driving for long periods, or you have an unstable illness that could be made worse by temporarily limiting sleep
- You are considered at high risk of falling
- You have epilepsy
- You have certain medical conditions that could interfere with the study's therapy or contribute to sleep or blood sugar problems — for example, an overactive thyroid, significant kidney disease, active cancer treatment, or any condition requiring long-term steroid use
- You have a significant alcohol or substance use disorder
- You have an active or recent history of an eating disorder, or your weight has changed by more than 10% recently
- You are currently pregnant, planning to become pregnant, breastfeeding, or less than one year since giving birth (for women)
- You use a medication called hydroxyurea
- You have significant skin problems or an allergy to adhesives that would make wearing a small glucose monitoring sensor on your skin difficult
