For people with gastric (stomach) cancer:

  • People aged between 18 and 90 years old
  • People whose stomach cancer has been confirmed through laboratory testing of tissue or cell samples
  • People who have not previously received any cancer treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, biological therapy, or immunotherapy for their stomach cancer

Who may not be able to join:

For people with gastric (stomach) cancer:

  • People who have two or more different types of cancer at the same time
  • People whose stomach cancer has already been treated with chemotherapy, radiation, biological therapy, immunotherapy, or other cancer treatments
  • People who have used steroid medications (such as cortisone) or antibiotics in the past three months
  • People who have a history of taking medications long-term
  • People who have tooth, gum, or other mouth-related health problems
  • People who have other conditions or circumstances that researchers believe could cause them to leave the study early, such as a serious illness, severely abnormal test results, or significant personal or social challenges affecting their safety or the study data

For healthy participants:

  • People who have a history of any type of cancer
  • People who have used steroid medications (such as cortisone) or antibiotics in the past three months
  • People who have a history of taking medications long-term
  • People who have tooth, gum, or other mouth-related health problems
  • People who have other conditions or circumstances that researchers believe could cause them to leave the study early, such as a serious illness, severely abnormal test results, or significant personal or social challenges affecting their safety or the study data
