Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 40 years of age or older

Who may not be able to join:
- People with type 2 diabetes who are currently taking more than two separate diabetes medications

- People with type 2 diabetes who are taking insulin injections
- People with type 2 diabetes who are taking a type of diabetes medication called sulfonylureas
- People who have had, or have been referred for, weight-loss (bariatric) surgery
- People who have lost more than 3% of their body weight in the last 3 months
- People who are currently taking any medication intended to help with weight loss
- People whose body weight is above 390 pounds (approximately 177 kg)
- People who have been diagnosed with a severe cognitive (thinking or memory) condition that would prevent them from giving informed consent
- People who are unwilling or unable to change the hours during which they eat, as required by the study
- People who are already consistently eating within a window of less than 11.5 hours per day
- People who have been diagnosed with an eating disorder by a doctor
- People who have a pacemaker or who are receiving dialysis (a kidney treatment)
- People who do not have access to a Lifelabs testing location
