Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 75 years old
- You have been diagnosed with a type of epilepsy called "focal onset epilepsy" for at least 1 year before the study screening
- Your focal seizures fall into one of these types: seizures where you stay aware but have noticeable signs or symptoms, seizures where your awareness is affected, or seizures that spread to both sides of the body with convulsions
- Your epilepsy has not been fully controlled despite trying at least two different seizure medications (used properly and in adequate doses)
- You are able to keep a regular diary recording your seizures
- You are currently taking between 1 and 3 seizure medications, with no more than 4 epilepsy treatments in total
Who may not be able to join:
- You have had a prolonged or serious seizure episode (lasting more than 5 minutes for convulsive types, or more than 10 minutes for certain other types) in the last 6 months
- You have had cluster seizures — where seizures happen so close together they cannot be counted individually — in the last 6 months
- You have had brain surgery to treat seizures within the last 4 months
- You have had a type of targeted radiation treatment for seizures within the last 2 years
- Your seizures only involve internal experiences (such as unusual feelings or sensations) without any loss of awareness or outward observable signs
- You have any other condition that the study doctor believes could put you at risk, prevent you from following the study instructions, or affect the study results (confirm with trial site)
