Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older at the time of joining the trial
- People who have epilepsy caused by a brain lesion (including a specific type called secondary mesial temporal sclerosis) where doctors are planning to use specialised recording equipment directly on the brain during surgery

- People whose surgical plan includes brain recordings taken while they are fully awake during surgery, or recordings related to brain function mapping
- People who take blood-thinning medications that cannot be safely stopped around the time of surgery, or people who have a blood clotting disorder called Factor XIII deficiency, or any other blood-related medical condition
- People who are currently taking part in another research study involving a medical device
- People who have any other health condition that the supervising doctor believes could affect their safety or their ability to complete the study
- People who do not have a sufficient understanding of the Dutch language
