Who might be able to join this trial:

• You have been diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) using a standard set of diagnostic guidelines called the Rome IV criteria
• You are 18 years of age or older (any gender can apply)
• You have any type of IBS, whether it mainly causes diarrhea, constipation, or a mix of both

Who may not be able to join:

• You have concerning symptoms such as unexplained weight loss, anemia, symptoms that wake you at night, a lump in your abdomen, or a strong family history of cancer
• You have taken antibiotics in the past month
• You have certain medical conditions where taking probiotics would not be safe, such as a severe infection throughout the body (severe sepsis) or if you are pregnant
• You have been diagnosed with a cancerous growth in your bowel
• You have had a bowel infection diagnosed within the past month
• You have had surgery on your abdomen at any point in the past
• You have a significant mental health condition such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder with manic episodes
• You have a known allergy to probiotics
• You have taken any probiotic supplements within the past month
• You have previously used the specific probiotic called Skal Pro™ (LP299V™)
