For patients:
- People who have had a VNS (vagus nerve stimulator — a small device implanted in the body to help control nerve activity) for at least 3 months
- People aged between 18 and 60 years
- People with an IQ above 55 as measured by the Wechsler scale, meaning those with normal cognitive function or mild cognitive difficulties
For healthy participants:
- People aged between 18 and 35 years with no history of neurological or psychiatric illness

For patients:
- People who have other medical devices implanted in their body (apart from a VNS)
- People with eye diseases or conditions
For healthy participants:
- People who have any medical device implanted in their body
- People who have experienced a brain injury or head trauma
- People with eye diseases or conditions
