Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) based on specific medical guidelines (called Rome IV criteria), meaning you have recurring stomach pain at least 1 day per week on average over the last 3 months, along with 2 or more of the following: pain related to going to the toilet, changes in how often you have bowel movements, or changes in what your stools look like — and these symptoms first started at least 6 months ago

  • You are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or are currently breastfeeding
  • You have had a colonoscopy (a camera examination of the bowel) within the past year
  • You do not wish to take part in the study
