Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes
- People whose average blood sugar level (measured by a test called HbA1c) is 8% or higher
- People who own a smartphone that works with the FreeStyle Libre 2 or Libre 3+ blood sugar monitoring device
- People who currently have and use a standard finger-prick blood sugar testing meter at home
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have used any continuous glucose monitoring device in the 6 months before joining the study
- People who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant during the study period
- People who have previously had a severe low blood sugar episode that required another person's help to treat
- People who have had a serious diabetes-related emergency called diabetic ketoacidosis or hyperosmolar hyperglycemic state in the 6 months before joining the study
- People who have a known allergy to medical-grade adhesives (the type of sticky material used in medical patches or devices)
- People who are currently taking steroid medication (such as prednisone or cortisone) for any health condition
- People who are currently receiving dialysis (a treatment that does the work of the kidneys)
