Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are Japanese, aged 12 years or older, regardless of gender
- You have been diagnosed with a type of epilepsy called "Primary Generalized Tonic-Clonic (PGTC) seizures" linked to a condition known as idiopathic generalized epilepsy
- You have had at least 5 of these tonic-clonic seizures over a 12-week period
- You are currently taking between 1 and 3 anti-seizure medications at stable, consistent doses
Who may not be able to join:
- You have had a severe, prolonged seizure episode (called status epilepticus) that required a hospital stay within the past 15 months
- Your seizures happen in clusters where it is not possible to count or identify them individually
- You have a history of seizures that are not caused by epilepsy, including seizures linked to psychological causes
- You have also been diagnosed with a different type of seizure disorder called "Partial Onset Seizures"
- You have a history of a serious allergic or skin reaction to a medication — such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic skin reactions, or a severe drug reaction involving your immune system — that required a hospital stay
