Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 to 75 years old at the time of signing consent, both male and female
- People with a confirmed diagnosis of upper stomach cancer (adenocarcinoma) that is locally advanced, based on tissue or cell testing, and assessed by the trial doctors as removable or potentially removable by surgery
- People who have not yet received any treatment for their current stomach cancer, including chemotherapy, radiation, or immunotherapy
- People who are reasonably active and able to care for themselves, as rated on a standard health performance scale (ECOG score of 0–1)
- People with an expected survival of at least 6 months
- People who have had imaging scans (CT or PET-CT) of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis confirming the cancer has not spread to distant parts of the body
- People whose blood test results meet minimum levels for red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets, without recent blood transfusions or blood-stimulating medications
- People whose liver and kidney function blood tests are within acceptable ranges
- People whose blood clotting test results are within acceptable ranges
- People whose heart pumping function, measured by ultrasound, is at least 50%
- People who are able to voluntarily agree to participate and sign a consent form
- People who are able to use appropriate contraception during the study and for 120 days after it ends, test negative for pregnancy within 7 days before joining, and are not currently breastfeeding (applies to people who could become pregnant)
