Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have Type 2 diabetes managed with daily insulin injections or diabetes pills, diagnosed either before pregnancy or before 14 weeks of pregnancy, with a blood sugar control reading (HbA1c) of 6.5% or higher
- People who are pregnant with a single, healthy baby and are between 6 and 23 weeks pregnant
- People who are between 18 and 50 years old
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are unable or unwilling to wear a continuous glucose monitor (a small sensor worn on the skin to track blood sugar), due to reactions to medical-grade adhesive or existing skin conditions
- People who are pregnant with more than one baby (such as twins or triplets)
- People whose baby has been found to have a significant physical abnormality, or two or more minor physical abnormalities
- People who are planning to give birth at a hospital or location that is not part of this study's network
- People who are already taking part in another clinical trial that could interfere with this one
- People who participated in this same trial during a previous pregnancy
- People who are not in a position to give informed consent to participate
- Cases where the treating doctor has declined participation for other medical reasons
