Who might be able to join this trial:

For the Normal-Weight Diabetes group:

  • People aged 30 to 70 years old who have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes (or whose blood sugar results at screening confirm it).
  • People whose HbA1c (a measure of average blood sugar over time) is between 5.7% and 8%, and whose diabetes treatment plan — whether medication or lifestyle changes — has stayed the same for at least 3 months.
  • People with a body mass index (BMI) between 19 and 24.9 kg/m² (considered a "normal" weight range).

  • People whose body weight has changed by no more than 2 kg over the past 3 months.

For the Normal-Weight Control group (no diabetes):

  • People aged 30 to 70 years old with no diagnosis of diabetes and blood sugar results within the normal range.
