Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus (food pipe) or stomach, whether or not they have received chemotherapy or surgery as part of their treatment.
- People who are 18 years of age or older at the time of joining the study.
- People who are willing to take part voluntarily and are free to stop participating at any time, for any reason.
- People who are able to understand the study and agree to take part by giving informed consent.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a cognitive condition such as dementia that affects thinking and memory.
- People whose cancer has spread to other parts of the body (metastases), making surgery not possible.
- People who are unable to communicate due to severe difficulties with hearing and/or vision.
- People who are currently struggling with drug and/or alcohol misuse.
- People who are not able to give informed consent for any reason.
