- You have been diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) using a standard set of medical guidelines called the Rome IV criteria
- You score 75 or above on a standard IBS symptom severity questionnaire (confirm with trial site)

- You own or have access to a smartphone or computer that can be used for video calls to take part in laughter yoga sessions
- You are able to communicate without significant difficulties
- You are willing and agree to take part in the study
Who may not be able to join:
- People who do not take part in the laughter yoga sessions as part of the study
- People who do not attend the sessions regularly
- People whose medication or treatment plan changes during the study
- People who decide they no longer wish to continue in the study
