Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People aged 18 or older when they started taking the medication cenobamate.
  • People who have been diagnosed with epilepsy that causes focal-onset seizures (seizures that start in one part of the brain), whether or not those seizures spread further.
  • People who are still in the dose-adjustment phase of cenobamate, meaning their doctor has not yet settled on a final maintenance dose, and who are taking cenobamate alongside one to three other seizure medications.
  • People whose seizures were not well controlled by two or three other seizure medications before starting cenobamate.
  • People whose medical records, seizure diaries, or personal notes contain reliable information about how often their seizures occurred in the three months before starting cenobamate.
  • People who have signed a written consent form agreeing to take part and to have their personal data used, or whose legal representative has done so on their behalf.

Who may not be able to join:

  • People for whom cenobamate is medically contraindicated based on its official approved prescribing information.
  • People who have a progressive brain or nervous system disease, or a brain tumour (whether non-cancerous or cancerous).
  • People with an unstable psychiatric condition, including thoughts or acts of self-harm in the past six months, a current psychotic disorder, or acute mania.
  • People with a known problem with substance misuse or dependence (caffeine and nicotine are not included in this).
  • People who are taking part in another interventional clinical study during the period from when they started cenobamate up to the enrolment visit.
  • People who are pregnant or breastfeeding during the period from when they started cenobamate up to the enrolment visit.
  • People who had no seizures at all in the three months before starting cenobamate.
