Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are able to understand English and all of the study requirements, and can give your informed consent to take part
- You hold a full UK driving licence and have held it for at least 5 years
- You drive a car at least once a week on average
- You have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and also have a nerve condition in your feet or legs called diabetic peripheral neuropathy
- You have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes only, without the nerve condition mentioned above
Who may not be able to join:
- You currently have an open wound or ulcer on either foot
- You have had part of your right foot removed, involving more than two toes
- You have been diagnosed with dementia
- You are currently taking part in another research study that could affect your safety or the reliability of either study's results (for example, a drug trial that might affect your ability to drive safely)
