Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults between 18 and 80 years old.
- People who have been confirmed through a tissue test (biopsy) to have either high-grade precancerous changes or a very early-stage cancer limited to the inner lining of the stomach.
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose condition shows signs, or possible signs, that the cancer or abnormal cells have grown deeper into the stomach wall or spread to nearby lymph nodes.
- People with serious health conditions that would make it unsafe to have a breathing tube placed, general anaesthesia, or surgery.
- People who have previously been treated for stomach cancer with radiotherapy or surgery that has changed the normal structure of the stomach.
- People whose abnormal cells or early cancer have come back in the same area after a previous endoscopic removal procedure.
- People who are unable to give their informed consent to take part in the trial.
