Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have a growth located beneath the inner lining of the stomach (called a submucosal tumor) that measures 15mm or larger, as seen during a camera examination of the stomach (endoscopy)
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose growth does not visibly bulge or protrude when seen during an endoscopy
- People whose growth measures less than 15mm when measured using a specialised ultrasound camera examination (endoscopic ultrasound)
- People whose growth does not need a tissue sample taken — for example, fatty growths (lipomas) or enlarged veins (varicose veins)
- People who have a fluid-filled (cystic) growth
- People who have a blood clotting problem that cannot be corrected, based on specific blood test results (confirm with trial site)
- People who have high blood pressure in the vein that carries blood to the liver (portal hypertension)
- People who have previously had surgery on their upper digestive tract (such as the stomach or oesophagus)
- People who are pregnant
- People who do not wish to take part in this clinical trial
