Who might be able to join this trial:

• You have been newly diagnosed with a type of stomach cancer called gastric adenocarcinoma that is HER-2 negative, and you have not had any cancer treatments (such as chemotherapy or radiation) before joining.
• You are between 18 and 80 years old and are generally able to carry out daily activities with little or no limitation.
• Your cancer is at a specific stage (T4aNxM0 according to medical staging guidelines), meaning it has grown into nearby tissue but has not spread to distant parts of the body, and is not causing blockages, tears, or bleeding.
• Your blood counts are within acceptable ranges, showing your bone marrow is working well enough (confirm with trial site for exact values).
• Your liver and kidney function test results are within acceptable limits (confirm with trial site for exact values).
• Your blood clotting tests are within acceptable ranges (confirm with trial site).
• Your urine protein levels are low enough, or if slightly elevated, a 24-hour urine test shows they are within an acceptable limit.
• You agree to provide blood and tissue samples for the study.
• You are expected to live for more than 3 months.
• If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you agree to use strict contraception during the study; if you are a man whose partner could become pregnant, you agree to use effective contraception during the study.

Who may not be able to join:

• You are currently in another clinical drug trial or have taken part in one within the last month.
• You have received any other cancer treatments (such as chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, or immunotherapy) other than what is being studied in this trial.
• You have previously used similar chemotherapy drugs or medicines that work on the immune system in a similar way (called immune checkpoint inhibitors).
• Your cancer has spread to other parts of the body, such as the liver, lungs, bones, brain, adrenal glands, or other areas of the abdomen or pelvis.
• You have had a tear or blockage in your digestive system, or uncontrollable diarrhea, within the past 6 months.
• You currently have another cancer that is untreated or being treated at the same time, with some exceptions for certain minor or fully cured cancers (confirm with trial site).
• You have a symptomatic (causing symptoms) meningioma (a type of brain or spinal cord tumour) (confirm with trial site).
• You have a history of active or difficult-to-treat autoimmune disease (where the immune system attacks the body).
• You have taken steroid medications above a certain dose, or other medicines that suppress the immune system, within the last 14 days (some exceptions apply — confirm with trial site).
• You have HIV or an active hepatitis B or C infection.
• You have an ongoing serious bacterial, fungal, or viral infection.
• You have significant heart problems, such as heart failure, active coronary artery disease, certain irregular heart rhythms, or unstable chest pain; or you have had a heart attack with unhealed wounds or fractures within the past 6 months.
• Your kidneys are failing and you need dialysis.
• You are taking medication to control epilepsy (seizures).
• You have had an organ or tissue transplant in the past, including a corneal (eye) transplant.
• You are allergic or may be allergic to the study drug or similar medicines.
• You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• You have had major surgery or a significant injury within the past 4 weeks.
• You have received a vaccination within the past 4 weeks.
• The trial doctor does not consider you suitable for the study for any other reason.
