Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who fully understand the study and are willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part
  • People aged between 18 and 75 years
  • People who have been diagnosed through a tissue sample (biopsy) with stomach or gastroesophageal junction cancer that can be surgically removed, or may become removable with treatment

  • People who have medical reasons preventing them from having surgery or chemotherapy, or whose general health or organ function makes major abdominal surgery unsafe
  • People whose cancer has spread to distant organs other than the liver (such as the lungs, brain, or bones)
  • People whose cancer tests positive for the HER2 protein
  • People with high blood pressure that is not controlled even with medication at the time of enrolment
  • People with diabetes that is not well controlled even with medication at the time of enrolment
  • People whose urine test shows a significant level of protein in the urine (confirmed by a 24-hour urine collection showing more than 1.0g of protein)
  • People who have active bleeding, a hole in the stomach wall, or a blockage in the digestive tract that needs treatment
  • People considered unsuitable for the study by the treating doctor, for any reason
