Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults between 18 and 90 years old who are not bedridden
- People who have been confirmed through a biopsy to have stomach cancer or cancer at the junction where the stomach meets the esophagus (a specific type called adenocarcinoma)
- People whose cancer was assessed by scans (CT or MRI) or a keyhole surgical procedure as being removable by surgery
- People who have not previously had any cancer treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or immunotherapy
- People who have not had any other type of cancer in the past 5 years
- People who received at least one round of treatment combining an immune therapy drug (called a PD-1 inhibitor) with chemotherapy before surgery
- People who went on to have surgery to remove the stomach cancer after that pre-surgery treatment
- People who do not have serious other health conditions
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose medical or test result records are incomplete or cannot be accessed
- People whose tissue sample after surgery showed a cancer type other than stomach or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma
- People whose cancer had already spread to other parts of the body before treatment began
- People who have also been diagnosed with another type of cancer at the same time
