Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have had one or more events in your life that are strongly suspected to be epileptic seizures (including seizures caused by fever), and these have never been assessed by a neurologist or pediatrician before.
- You have had events suspected to be epileptic seizures that a neurologist or pediatrician previously said were not epileptic, but the events have happened again and a new assessment is now needed.
- You were investigated for unusual episodes or symptoms, and after evaluation it was confirmed these were your first-ever epileptic seizures.
Who may not be able to join:
- You have already been formally diagnosed with epilepsy by a neurologist or pediatrician, and that diagnosis has not been taken back or overturned.
- You (or your caregiver, if applicable) are not able to give informed consent to take part in the study (confirm with trial site).
- You do not have a good enough level of Norwegian language skills to complete the study questionnaires.
