Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You are able to carry out basic daily activities, with only mild to moderate limitations in physical activity (confirm with trial site).
- Your doctor expects you to live for at least 6 more months.
- You have been diagnosed with advanced or spreading stomach cancer, cancer of the junction between the stomach and food pipe, or colorectal cancer that cannot be fully removed or cured, confirmed by a tissue or cell sample.
- You have not yet received any systemic (whole-body) drug treatments, such as chemotherapy, for your stomach, gastroesophageal junction, or colorectal cancer.
- You have at least one tumor that can be measured on a scan, according to standard guidelines.
- You are experiencing moderate to severe fatigue, rated 4 or higher on a standard fatigue scale.
- You are experiencing a loss of appetite.
- Your organs (such as kidneys, liver, and heart) are functioning well enough to meet the trial's requirements (confirm with trial site).
Who may not be able to join:
- You have had a major surgery or serious injury in the past month.
- You have a condition that affects how your body absorbs food or medicine, such as difficulty swallowing, poor absorption, or vomiting that cannot be controlled.
- You are currently being fed through a tube or receiving nutrition directly into your veins.
- Your loss of appetite is caused by a psychological condition, mental illness, or difficulty eating due to pain.
- You have received a blood transfusion or a medication to boost red blood cell production in the past month.
- You have serious diseases affecting the brain, heart, kidneys, or liver.
- You have had an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients in the trial medication.
- The trial doctors have identified another reason they feel makes you unsuitable for the trial.
