Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People whose overall health and ability to carry out daily activities falls within an acceptable range, as measured by a standard medical scoring system called ECOG PS 0–2 (confirm with trial site)
- People who have been diagnosed with gastric (stomach) cancer through a tissue or fluid sample examined in a laboratory
- People who have not previously been treated with a type of cancer immunotherapy medicine known as a PD-1 or PD-L1 inhibitor
- People whose life expectancy is at least 3 months
- People who are willing and able to follow the trial schedule, attend follow-up visits, and sign a consent form agreeing to take part
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose stomach cancer cannot be confirmed through a tissue sample, either because a sample could not be collected or because there was not enough material to make a diagnosis
- People who do not wish to receive PD-1 or PD-L1 inhibitor treatment
- People for whom a blood (plasma) sample taken before immunotherapy treatment begins is not available
- People who have an autoimmune disease (a condition where the body's immune system attacks its own tissues)
- People who had serious pre-existing problems with their heart, lungs, thyroid, or other organs before starting immunotherapy
- People who had significantly abnormal liver function, kidney function, pancreatic enzyme levels, or other related test results before starting immunotherapy
- People who have any other condition that the research team considers may put them at risk or prevent them from fully participating in the trial
