Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Healthy babies who are between 6 and 8 weeks old (both ages included)
  • Babies who weigh at least 3.2 kg (about 7 pounds)
  • Babies who were born after a full-term pregnancy (at least 37 weeks)

Who may not be able to join:

  • Babies who have previously had any of these diseases: Hib (a type of bacterial infection), Hepatitis B, diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough (pertussis), or polio
  • Babies who have been in close contact with someone confirmed to have Hib, Hepatitis B, diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus, or polio in the 30 days before registering for the study
  • Babies who have previously had a COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) infection
  • Babies whose mother tests positive for Hepatitis B antigen or HIV
  • Babies who have had a fever of 38.0°C (100.4°F) or higher within the 3 days before enrolling
  • Babies who have received certain other vaccines in the 30 days before enrolling — vaccines for pneumococcal disease, rotavirus, Hepatitis B, and BCG (a tuberculosis vaccine) are exceptions to this rule (confirm with trial site)
  • Babies who have previously received any vaccines for diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, Hib, or polio — either alone or in combination
  • Babies who have received medications that suppress or alter the immune system
  • Babies who have previously received blood or blood-derived products
  • Babies with a known allergy or hypersensitivity to any ingredient in the study vaccines
  • Babies who are already participating in another interventional clinical trial within 4 weeks of the expected first vaccination in this study
