Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) according to specific standard diagnostic guidelines called the Rome IV criteria.
- You are between 18 and 70 years old.
- You have had IBS symptoms for more than 6 months.
- Tests have not found any physical or chemical abnormalities that explain your bowel symptoms.

- You are under 18 or over 70 years old.
- You have serious liver, kidney, blood, heart, brain, or mental health conditions that significantly affect how you think or function.
- You have a known physical disease of the intestines, conditions like diabetes or an overactive thyroid that affect digestion, or you have previously had surgery on your bowel, anus, or abdomen.
- You regularly take medications or treatments that affect how your digestive system moves or works, or you are using other treatments that might affect the trial results.
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have given birth within the last 12 months.
- You have a severe fear of needles, an allergy or sensitivity to metal, or you have a pacemaker.
- You are unlikely to follow the trial's treatment plan as assigned, or your ability to stick to the trial requirements is considered unreliable.
- You are currently taking part in another research study.
- You are not willing to sign the consent form.
