Who may not be able to join:

• You have ever had a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) to a type of diabetes medication called GLP-1 receptor agonists
• You are already taking a GLP-1 receptor agonist medication
• You are currently taking stimulant medications (confirm with trial site)
• You have previously had weight-loss (bariatric) surgery
• You or a close family member have a history of cancer, particularly a type called medullary thyroid cancer
• You have a personal history of pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas) or carry certain genetic changes that raise your risk of developing it
• You have a known, currently active kidney disease
• You had a dangerously low blood sugar episode (below 50 mg/dL) within the last 3 months
• Your HbA1c blood sugar result is above 10.0%
• You had an episode of a serious diabetes complication called diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) in the past 3 months
• You are currently pregnant
• Your BMI (a measure of body weight relative to height) is below 18.5, or if you are a child or teenager, your BMI falls below the 5th percentile for your age
