Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who are able and willing to sign a written consent form
• People who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for at least 90 days
• People who have been on a stable, once-daily dose of basal insulin (with or without metformin and/or an SGLT2 inhibitor medication) for at least 90 days
• People whose HbA1c blood sugar control measure is between 7.5% and 11.0% at the time of screening
• People with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 22 or higher at the time of screening

• People with a history of type 1 diabetes, or other specific or secondary forms of diabetes
• People who have had a severe low blood sugar episode in the 180 days before screening
• People who have had a serious heart or stroke-related event in the 180 days before screening
• People who have had a cancer diagnosis within the past 5 years
• People with a known or suspected allergy or sensitivity to the trial medication or related products
• People who have taken part in another clinical trial within the last 90 days
• People whom the trial doctor determines may not be suitable to participate for any other reason
