Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 to 75 who have been diagnosed with advanced stomach cancer or cancer at the junction of the stomach and oesophagus that cannot be surgically removed, or that has spread to other parts of the body, confirmed by laboratory tissue testing.
- People who are planned to receive a first course of treatment combining immunotherapy drugs with chemotherapy, with or without a targeted therapy that works against the HER2 protein.
- People who have at least one area of cancer that can be measured on scans according to specific research guidelines, and whose general physical wellbeing falls within an accepted range on a standard activity scale (confirm with trial site).
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have had another type of cancer within the 3 years before the study begins, or who have cancer that has spread to the brain or the lining around the brain or spinal cord.
- People who have other health conditions that, in the treating doctor's judgement, could seriously affect their safety or prevent them from completing the study.
