Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older
- People who speak English (for both the UPLIFT and PACES parts of the trial) or Spanish (for the UPLIFT part only)
- People who have been diagnosed with epilepsy for at least one year
- People who are able to understand and agree to the study's consent process
- People who have a certain level of depressive symptoms, measured by a standard questionnaire called the PHQ-9, with a score of 10 or above — this applies to the UPLIFT part of the trial only
Who may not be able to join:
- People with severe depressive symptoms, indicated by a score of 20 or higher on the PHQ-9 questionnaire
- People who are currently experiencing thoughts of suicide or self-harm, as indicated by their answers during screening
- People who have an active psychotic disorder, based on a psychiatric diagnosis or antipsychotic medications recorded in their medical records
- People with significant cognitive impairment (such as serious memory or thinking difficulties), as noted in their medical records or identified during the screening process
