Who might be able to join this trial:

• Children between 5 and 12 years old, male or female, who have been diagnosed with autism.
• Children who are currently enrolled in an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program, either at school or at home, that is supervised by a certified specialist called a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Children whose medical treatments and behavioral programs have been stable and unchanged for at least 4 weeks before the study starts and throughout the study.
• Children who are able to tolerate wearing the brain stimulation device (called tDCS), as confirmed through a week-long daily practice and adjustment process before the study begins.

Who may not be able to join:

• Children who have any implanted metal device in their body, such as a heart pacemaker, cochlear implant, or surgical clips.
• Children who have a serious neurological condition such as a traumatic brain injury, brain tumour, or a past infection of the brain.
• Children who have a seizure disorder and have had a seizure within the last two years.
• Children who have a defect or abnormality in their skull.
• Children who have partial or full blindness or deafness.
• Children who are currently taking certain medications that may affect how the brain stimulation device works, including anti-seizure medications, some antidepressants, antipsychotic medications, stimulant medications, certain pain or cough medicines, sedatives, or several other specific drugs (confirm with trial site for the full list of medications).
• Children who have an active skin disease or skin condition.
• Children who have previously undergone magnetic or electrical brain stimulation treatment.
