Who might be able to join this trial:

For the clinical part of the study:

• You are 50 years old or older and are being assessed for the first time for seizures or epilepsy that started after age 50, with no obvious cause identified yet
• You are having your risk factors for blood vessel problems checked as part of the new care routine at a participating clinic

For the records/register part of the study:

• You are 50 years old or older and have your first-ever outpatient appointment at one of the participating clinics
• Your medical records show a first diagnosis code for seizures or epilepsy

Who may not be able to join:

For the clinical part of the study:

• You are not able to give your own consent to take part in the study
• You have a progressive brain condition, such as a brain tumour or a degenerative brain disease

For the records/register part of the study:

• Your medical records show that you already had seizures or epilepsy, or were taking seizure medication, more than 3 months before your first appointment
• You had a stroke or mini-stroke (TIA) recorded in your medical records before your first appointment
• Your medical records suggest you have a brain tumour (confirm with trial site)
• Your medical records show you have a condition affecting memory or thinking, such as dementia (confirm with trial site)
