Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 or older, of any gender
- People who are able to give written consent to take part in the study
- People who have a neuroendocrine tumour that has been confirmed by a pathology test, is well-differentiated and classified as grade 1 or 2, and cannot be surgically removed (having had a previous surgery is still acceptable, as long as a specialist team has confirmed the tumour is no longer operable)
- People whose neuroendocrine tumour has continued to grow or spread after one or two previous rounds of systemic (whole-body) treatment
- People whose tumour tests positive for somatostatin receptors, as shown by a specific type of scan called a DOTATATE PET/CT, with a result score of 3 or higher
- People who have at least one tumour measuring 3 centimetres or larger on a contrast-enhanced CT or MRI scan
- People whose general physical health and ability to carry out daily activities falls within a standard rating of 0–2 (meaning they are fully active to capable of basic self-care) (confirm with trial site)
- People whose kidneys are functioning at an adequate level, based on a blood test result taken within the past 90 days
- People whose liver function, protein levels, and blood counts (white blood cells, platelets, and haemoglobin) are at or above the minimum levels required, based on blood tests taken within the past 90 days — a blood transfusion to reach the haemoglobin requirement is acceptable
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have previously received any form of radiation treatment to the same area of the body being considered for treatment in this trial — this includes a type of radiation therapy called PRRT, external radiation, or a procedure called Yttrium-90 radioembolization
- People who have a medical condition that makes radiation therapy unsafe for them, such as inflammatory bowel disease or systemic sclerosis
- People who have cancer that has spread to the brain, or that extends into the spinal canal
- People for whom payment or insurance coverage for the planned radiation treatment cannot be confirmed
