Who might be able to join this trial:

- People who are willing to make some adjustments to their usual eating habits during the study
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have other digestive or gut conditions (such as inflammatory bowel disease or coeliac disease) that could explain their current symptoms
- People who have conditions that affect how the gut works, or who have had weight-loss (bariatric) surgery in the past
- People who have allergies or sensitivities to foods, other than lactose intolerance
- People who have significant dietary restrictions or food allergies
- People who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant within the next seven months
- People whose body weight falls into a very low range based on standard height-and-weight measurements (BMI of 18 or below)
- People who are already receiving osteopathic treatment for IBS, or who are already following the low-FODMAP diet
