Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are willing to take part and are happy to sign a consent form agreeing to join the study
- You are aged 18 to 70 years old
- You have been diagnosed with Stage IV (advanced/spread) stomach cancer or cancer at the junction of the stomach and food pipe, confirmed by a camera test of the stomach or a scan (CT or PET-CT), with cancer that has spread to other parts of the body such as the liver, lungs, or lymph nodes
- Your cancer has stopped responding to, or got worse during, previous treatments such as chemotherapy, targeted therapy, or immunotherapy
- You have at least one measurable tumour that can be tracked on a CT or MRI scan, and this scan was done within 28 days before starting treatment
- Your general health and ability to carry out daily activities falls within an acceptable range (a score of 0–3 on a standard medical scale used by doctors)
- Your doctors expect you to live for at least 1 month
- You are able to understand what the study involves and agree to take part in writing
Who may not be able to join:
- You currently have another type of cancer at the same time
- You have serious heart, lung, or brain conditions
- Your doctors expect you to live for less than 1 month
- Your blood test results show your bone marrow is not working well enough — for example, low red blood cells, white blood cells, or platelets (confirm with trial site for exact values)
- Your liver is functioning very poorly (confirm with trial site)
- You have serious kidney disease (confirm with trial site)
- You have a significant problem with blood clotting, shown by abnormal blood test results (confirm with trial site)
