Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes
  • People whose HbA1c blood sugar level (a measure of average blood sugar over several months) was between 7.5% and 10.5% at their screening appointment

  • People who have been prescribed certain hormone-based medications used for diabetes or weight management (including GLP-1 receptor agonists and related drugs) within the last 6 months (confirm with trial site for the full list)
  • People who have used certain other diabetes medications — including sulfonylureas, DPP-4 inhibitors, and others — within the 3 months before screening (confirm with trial site for the full list)
  • People who have used insulin to manage their blood sugar at any point in the past year (some short-term exceptions may apply — confirm with trial site)
